GunSmoke (markings ref)

I'm so fucking proud of how this design came out, especially those facial markings. <3 I can't quite decide on a name (most likley will be GunSmoke like my username) though if anyone has more "psyraptised" name suggestions then feel free to suggest. I've been wanting to get back into PsychoRaptors for ages so first step was to create myself a PsyRap 'sona'. I used *Freakzter's lineart and modified the ear because I wanted to see how that stretcher would work with the rest of the design but I didn't bother messing with the mane and tail fur - he has a few beaded dreads and has a bad habbit of chewing his tail fur so some chunks of said tail fur are missing - since the point of this excersize was simply to get the design out of my head and onto canvas. I will move this to scraps later once I've done a proper ref for him. Some older watchers (if you guys still do watch me) may remember DeadZone?

Well the plan originally was to simply re-vamp Dead's design and change it from a jumbled mess and into something that actually works but I just couldn't get anything to work out and I didn't like the colours I used so I started from scratch though I did keep a few elements of Dead's design. I like dark colours and I LOVE blue so GunSmoke here is much more fitting. This guy appeals to me much more now plus his design is a tonne of fun to work with despite being a little fiddly. I may make some small design changes between now and finishing his referance sheet but it's a good-enough referance untill then. I'm planning on making this guy an anthro PsyRap (don't worry I won't be drawing furry porn) but I do plan on drawing him in this feral form from time to time.

The idea behind this guy was to step outside my comfort zone when creating characters (that "comfort zone" is that new characters often become Death Valley Ranch stable staff or end up being agents in my Black Ops unit PRISM). I'm also very anti-drugs so this bastard smoking weed is pretty much my way of taking the piss out of myself and my attitude towards drugs. He travels a post-apocolyptic landscape and smokes weed with a human male companion but who that male victem companion is I haven't decided yet. I'm still fleshing out his character but in short, this guy's a "jumped-up little shit with no redeeming qualities".
